A Quilter's Heritage: Becca's Story

After experiencing a tragedy in her family as a child, Becca felt abandoned and unseen by her parents and older sister. Her saving grace was her beloved grandmother, Rachel, with whom she spent her summers growing up.
As she approaches her 30th birthday, Becca yearns for something more in her life. Her relationship with her tong-term boyfriend is going nowhere. The constant bickering with her mother has become hostile and frustrating. Her only relief is her best friend, Ashlyn and the other members of her Cambridge Creative Quilters bee.

Craving something new, Becca sets out on an adventure prompted by a treasured gift from her beloved ‘Gran’ who had taught her to quilt as a child. The gift – a faded memoir, a quilt, and an antique treadle sewing machine that had all once belonged her to great, great grandmother, Hannah Benson Stone. This is Becca’s heritage.

Curious about the generations that came before her she seeks out the grand Victorian home where Hannah raised her family and started her quilt business in the late 1800s. The house has become a Bed and Breakfast, but its future is uncertain and there are secrets hidden away, waiting to be discovered.

With the help of old and new friends, Becca envisions a different future for herself: a second chance at love, and a new purpose for her life.
