Richard Brantley

Richard lost his parents at a young age, leaving him orphaned at three years old. After being passed between families, his aunt and uncle welcomed him into their home on a small farm in Western Washington, just 40 miles north of Seattle. Growing up, Richard found solace in the night sky, often turning off the outside lights to stargaze. He'd imagine UFOs flying among the stars and planets, recording his sightings with colorful detail in a journal. Dreaming of one day exploring the Milky Way became one of his favorite pastimes.

A passionate reader, Richard devoured every sci-fi book in his school’s small library. His love for science fiction became a lifelong passion.

Over two decades ago, Richard embarked on a writing career, creating radio and television commercials. His talent for weaving sales messages into compelling stories led to great success, especially when his scripts touched on sci-fi themes. After retiring from a marketing career, Richard turned his attention back to a novel he started years earlier. Three years later, his dream was realized with the completion of StarChaser, a one-of-a-kind sci-fi novel.

Richard now resides in Spokane Valley, Washington with his wife, enjoying life with his two grown children and three grandchildren.
